How to Travel for Cheap on Lesser Known Local Airlines in Korea
Updated: May 10
There’s a list of lesser known airlines that don’t receive as much attention from foreign travelers in Korea. When you’re trying to fly cheap or find alternative schedules, sometimes it’s a good idea to check out the local low-cost budget carriers. Don’t be the one missing out on good deals for both domestic and international flights. While Korean Air and Asiana Airlines typically dominate the skies, here’s a list of other airlines to keep your eye on. Let’s hear it for the little guys!
Alternatively, Hana Tour can sometimes have better prices than going directly to the airlines. The website offers a wide variety of tours and travel packages as well, but it is more targeted towards Korean travelers.
We've also recently seen great prices on Online Tour for flights that utilize a combination of the small airlines to create amazing steals. If you're a bit flexible with your time and can do mid-week trips because of extra holiday hours saved or maybe... ahhemmm... spare sick days, there's Roundtrip flights from Seoul to Jeju as low as 43,200 KRW!
