Nestled on the remote ocean side island of Dolsan-do is a little resort that calls itself the Finland Morning Resort. With only 11 two-story suites, the Finland Morning Resort is not very large but has a ton of amenities including a gorgeous outdoor heated infinity swimming pool overlooking a scenic vista of green forests and blue ocean. Reminiscent of the country of Finland's cottage life, the resort even has a Finnish dry sauna. There is also a soccer field, karaoke and you can rent charcoal grills for BBQs.
While in the nearby area, about 12 kilometers north of the resort a breakwater links Yeosu port to Odongdo Island, home to red camellia blossoms and a lighthouse with an observatory. Take the short excursion back to Dolsando Island and you can find a Maritime and Fisheries Science Museum, with an aquarium of turtles. You can also view Dolsandaegyo Bridge from Dolsan Park. If you have more time, a venture to the island's southern tip takes you to the clifftop Hyangiram Hermitage, an ancient Buddhist temple.
