When it comes to online shopping, Korea has it all – services like Gmarket and Coupang offer all sorts of products to cater to any need (from household items to clothes and imported goods) and if you are looking for groceries there are online marts like Homeplus and Emart.
While these services offer a great deal of convenience to locals, shopping on-line can be rather disappointing if you are a foreigner. Gmarket does have an English website, but it offers less variety compared to the Korean version, product details are often not fully translated and since vendors are Korean it’s not easy to get information from them if you have questions. There are other websites that do not even have an English page and simply making an account can be a challenge.
Wonderful has vast experience with Korean websites and can help you deal with all kinds of issues when it comes to on-line shopping in Korea.
1. Direct Purchase assistance
If you already found an item on a Korean website you would like to purchase you can simply send us a link and we can place the order on your behalf and arrange for the delivery to your home address. If you have difficulties navigating through Korean websites you can also just send us a photo or name of the item and Wonderful’s assistants will search for it and send you available options and prices. If the product is not available in Korea we would be happy to look for local alternatives.
2.Communicating with Vendors and Troubleshooting
If you have questions about the product prior to purchase, we can call the vendor and confirm those for you as well the approximate delivery time. If the product arrives damaged, with the wrong size or if there are any other issues with the item, Wonderful can assist with troubleshooting and applying for a return/exchange.
3. Shipping and Delivery Assistance
If you live outside Korea and would like to order from a Korean shopping website that only does local delivery, we can arrange for delivery to our office in Seoul and from there ship the items to your address with any postal service of your preference (Fedex, EMS, Korea post etc).
If you are buying furniture and need help making arrangements with delivery people (big pieces of furniture might require using a ladder truck or there might be extra delivery fee if your building does not have an elevator etc.) just ask Wonderful and we will make sure the delivery goes smoothly.
Regarding our pricing, we charge for the time taken working on your request at 800 KRW/min (There is a 15% discount for first time users), and you can get a refund on the remaining time within 3 months. Typical purchase requests would take from 20 minutes to an hour if research is involved. There are NO processing fees when you pay us via bank wire transfer. (You will pay only the cost of the item(s)). When we charge your bank card, there is an 8.5% processing fee that goes to the payment processor for their services. We do NOT benefit from this fee.
