Updated: Dec 3, 2019

Winter in Korea can reveal the hidden beauty of the South Korean open country. Each year, heavy snowfall in remote Korean country, covers vast forests, hills and valleys revealing beautiful scenery that is often unknown to many foreigners.

However, exploring such vistas has never been easier thanks to the Snow flower train. These are special train tours that travel through out various remote parts of Korea, and offer a scenic travel experience for everyone to enjoy. As the name suggests, the trains are not the fast trains that leave little time to take in the beautiful landscapes, these are older trains that have been refurbished to offer a fun experience for travelers.

Additionally, some train tours take stops at various tourism sites in the country such as the Taebaek Ice Museum, Taebaek Snow Festival and the Santa Village.
